RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE “HEALTHY PLAY CONTEST” FROM ATLANTIC LOTTERY CORPORATION

Effective 00:00:00 AT on October 1, 2024 (“Effective Date”) the following official Rules and Regulations apply to the Atlantic Lottery Corporation’s (“ALC”) Healthy Play Contest (the “Contest”) which provides existing and new alc.ca players with a chance at winning a monthly gift card for setting a voluntary limit on alc.ca during the monthly contest period.

There will be one (1) draw for each five (5) monthly contest periods that occur within the Healthy Play Contest:

  1. Contest #1 starts on October 1, 2024 at 00:00:00 AT and ends on October 31, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. AT.
  2. Contest #2 starts on November 1, 2024 at 00:00:00 AT and ends on November 30, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. AT.
  3. Contest #3 starts on December 1, 2024 at 00:00:00 AT and ends on December 31, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. AT.
  4. Contest #4 starts on January 1, 2025 at 00:00:00 AT and ends on January 31, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. AT.
  5. Contest #5 starts on February 1, 2025 at 00:00:00 AT and ends on February 28, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. AT.

HOW TO ENTER

In each monthly contest period:

  • Players can earn a maximum of thirty (30) entries into the monthly draw.
    • Players can earn five (5) entries into the monthly draw by having a wager limit set.
    • Players can earn five (5) entries into the monthly draw by having a session limit set.
    • Players who keep both limits set until 11:59:59 p.m. AT on the final day of the monthly contest period will receive twenty (20) bonus entries into the draw.
  • Players can adjust their limit as needed.
  • The monthly draw will reset on the first day of each month from November 1, 2024 – February 1, 2025.
  • Previous months entries do not carry over month to month.
  • Players can sign in to the Healthy Play Contest and see their entries in the Monthly Healthy Play status section. Entries will not be visible in real time: monthly entries are generally updated in your 2Chance History on Wednesdays each week. Weekly update subject to change

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY

  1. The contest is sponsored by Atlantic Lottery Corporation and is open to residents of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, who are nineteen (19) years of age or older and reside in Atlantic Canada at the time of entry and draw with the following exceptions: Current employees of Atlantic Lottery Corporation (including Red Shores Racetrack & Casino), or of any promotional agency involved with this contest, and any Immediate Family members of any of these employees, which employees and their Immediate Family members shall be ineligible to participate in and/or claim any reimbursable prize for this contest.
    1. “Immediate Family” means the spouse, sibling, parent and/or child of an employee referred to above who resides with that employee.
  2. To be eligible for the draw, the wager limit and/or session time limit must have been active for at least 24-hours during the monthly contest period.
  3. Players must have a valid alc.ca account.
  4. ALC, in its complete discretion, may disqualify an alc.ca member from participation in this contest and/or may refuse to award a prize under this contest to the player if that player’s membership on alc.ca is, or at any point throughout the Contest Period has been, suspended.
  5. Any individual who has falsified their registration information will be ineligible to receive any prize upon winning.
  6. If a player does not wish to enter the Healthy Play Contest, the player can contact ALC at info@alc.ca with the subject line "Opt Me Out of the Healthy Play Contest." The player must include their first name and last name. The email address used to send the opt-out request must be associated with the player’s alc.ca account.

NO PURCHASE ENTRY

No purchase is necessary to enter the contest.

DRAWS AND PRIZES

  1. A random draw will take place in each contest period. All draws adhere to the draw procedures established for the draw by ALC. The draws will take place on these dates (or as soon as possible thereafter).

  1. Total monetary prize value for October and November prizing is $10.00. Prizing for December, January and February are to be confirmed.
  2. This prize is not exchangeable for cash value.
  3. The prize is non-transferable.
  4. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
  5. This contest is only valid during the contest period on October 1, 2024 at 00:00:00 AT and ends on February 28, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. AT.

ODDS OF WINNING

A random draw will be conducted for the prize from all eligible entries received during the monthly contest period.

The odds of winning the prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the monthly contest period. All draws adhere to the draw procedures established for the draw by ALC.

Prize Claim and eGift Card delivery

Upon selection as an eligible winner, participants will receive an email notification containing a link to access and complete a prize claim form from promotionsgroup@mail.alc.ca. This notification will be sent to the email address associated with the participant's alc.ca account. Participants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their account information on alc.ca.

Eligible winners will also receive a notification on their Healthy Play contest page prompting them to complete their prize claim form. Participants must be signed into the contest page to view this notification.

Eligible winners are given five (5) days from the date of notification to complete and correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question and submit the prize claim form within the time frame indicated. Failure to answer the skill-testing question correctly or submit the form within this timeframe will result in disqualification and the prize will be forfeited.

Eligible winners will also receive a reminder email for those who have not completed the prize claim form within approximately three (3) days of the initial notification.

Eligible winners who successfully complete their prize claim form will instantly receive another email from promotionsgroup@mail.alc.ca with the details of their e-Gift Card prize to the email address associated with their alc.ca account.

ALC is not responsible for lost, stolen gift card codes as a result of the participant not correctly verifying and or updating their email address.

Players will also be able to locate their e-Gift Card details in their 2Chance History.

GENERAL RULES

  1. In order to be declared a winner, the player whose entry is selected will be required to correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question.
  2. The chance of winning is dependent on the number of entries received for the contest draw.
  3. Members who have registered through fraudulent means or have provided false or misleading information will be disqualified. ALC will not be responsible for failed entry attempts for any reason whatsoever.
  4. By entering this contest, players agree to release and hold harmless Atlantic Lottery Corporation, retailers of Atlantic Lottery Corporation (collectively “Released Parties”), and the shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents of the Released Parties from any claim, loss, expense or other liability arising from participation in this contest or the awarding, acceptance or use of any prize awarded under the contest.
  5. Decisions of Atlantic Lottery Corporation with respect to this contest are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility and procedure.
  6. Atlantic Lottery Corporation has the right, at its sole discretion, to make prize substitutions of equivalent kind and value in the event of unavailability of any specified prize for reasons beyond Atlantic Lottery Corporation’s control.
  7. Except as otherwise specified in these contest rules, winners must accept prizes as awarded.
  8. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
  9. By entering this contest, winners agree to allow Atlantic Lottery Corporation and its agents to publish, and/or broadcast their name, likeness, addresses, voices, statements and submitted photographs without compensation other than the prize awarded.
  10. All entries become the property of Atlantic Lottery Corporation who assume no responsibility for garbled, illegible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No contest entries will be entered into except with entries selected as potential winners. Requests for official contest rules and regulations or names of prize winner(s) can be mailed to: Atlantic Lottery Corporation, PO Box 5500, 922 Main St., Moncton, NB, E1C 8W6 (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). ALC does/do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of ALC, in its/their sole discretion, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its/their control, ALC reserves its/their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend or suspend the contest including canceling any method of entry, and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. ALC reserves their right to modify the official rules and regulations of this contest without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. ALC reserves their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these official rules and regulations or otherwise in a disruptive manner.
  11. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this contest, each Player consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information (information that identifies a Player as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by ALC for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this contest. ALC will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this contest. ALC is committed to ensuring the privacy of its players and taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure player information is safeguarded. In all cases, information is retained in secure facilities and protected from unauthorized access. ALC will only use or disclose player information for the specific purposes for which it was collected, unless required by law, and will only retain the information long enough to fulfill these purposes, after which time it will be securely destroyed.
  12. Atlantic Lottery Corporation is not responsible for commencing, continuing or completing the "Healthy Play Contest” or awarding the prize in the event of circumstances beyond the control of Atlantic Lottery Corporation. Atlantic Lottery Corporation reserves the right to cancel this contest, in whole or in part, or to delay the contest for any reason whatsoever and without prior notice, including in cases of fortuitous events or force majeur.
  13. All draws will adhere to the draw procedures established for the draw by Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
  14. These official rules govern the contest and must be followed. In the event of any discrepancy between these official rules and any other material, these rules prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
